ACCRA HERE WE COME: (Full day Accra City Tour)

This tour will depart the venue at 9.00am prompt and return at 5pm. Accra has been Ghana's Administrative and Political capital since 1877. It is also home to the Ga Tribe. We will visit the W.E.B Du Bois Center for Pan Africanism, drive round the Independence Square, visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, and continue to the Center for National Culture with its intriguing collection of African clothes, Arts and Crafts. If time permits we will also visit the Woodin shop for a fine selection of fabrics. Finalize shopping.

A BITE OF LIFE: (Full Day Akosombo Tour)

Drive to Akosombo to see one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.

Enjoy the fascinating view of the Shai Hills and Kloyo mountains.

En-route we will stop at briefly at the Shai Hills Reserve. We may be lucky enough to spot Baboons on the road. (Depending on time)

At Akosombo we will enjoy a guided tour of the Hydro - Electric Dam. The Dam supplies energy to the whole of Ghana and some neighboring West African countries such as Togo and Benin.

Lunch will be on board the Dodi Princess, as we take a ride to the famous Dodi Island and back.

Alternatively, we could have lunch at the Senchi River Resort. Relax and enjoy the scenery.

We could also arrange for a boat ride on the lake if you so desire and enjoy the view of the villages around.

We will prepare to depart to Accra by 4pm.

ENCOUNTER NATURE AND GHANA'S PAST: (CAPE COAST TOUR)

Early morning depart for Cape Coast and Elmina in the Central Region to learn about Ghana's historic past and first encounter with Europeans. Cape Coast was the seat of the British colonial administration up to 1877. En-route observe fishing villages. Mankessim, one of the towns, is well known for its "Posuban" shrine and busy market.

Drive straight to Kakum National Park a unique rain forest with a diverse range of flora and fauna. Experience the canopy walkway or go hiking with forest guards. The canopy walkway is the only one of its kind in Africa composed of 350 meters of swing bridge and six tree platforms that reach a height of 30 - 75 metres.

After lunch visit
Elmina and/or Cape Coast castles and tour the slave dungeons, the site of one of mankind's darkest chapters.
Note the negotiating house where slave prices were negotiated.
